The political turmoil in Haryana has reached its peak before the Rajya Sabha elections to be held on March 16. In view of the apprehensions of cross voting in the elections, Congress has turned to ‘resort politics’.
On Friday (13 March) evening, Haryana Congress MLAs were shifted to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. These MLAs have been accommodated in two private hotels in Kufri, where tight police security arrangements have been made by the Himachal government.
The convoy reached Kufri amid tight security
To avoid possible burglary, Congress MLAs were brought to Shimla via Solan. The MLA reached Kufri in a convoy of two tempo travelers and about 10 other small and big vehicles. Tight police security has been imposed around the hotels and there is a complete ban on entry of any outsider.
These 6 prominent MLAs did not reach Shimla
In this convoy that reached Shimla, the MLAs who did not participate in it are being discussed the most. 6 important Congress MLAs have not come to Shimla:
- Bhupinder Singh Hooda (Leader of Opposition)
- Vinesh Phogat (Julana MLA)
- Chandramohan Bishnoi (Panchkula MLA)
- Kuldeep Vats (Badli MLA)
- Mohammad Ilyas (Punhana MLA)
- Paramveer Singh (Tohana MLA)
Suspense over Chandramohan Bishnoi’s departure
Before leaving for Shimla, a lunch was organized for the MLAs on Friday afternoon at the residence of Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda. About 37 MLAs were present in this important meeting.
However, during the meeting, Panchkula MLA Chandramohan Bishnoi left midway, due to which there has been a lot of speculation in the political circles.
Voting will take place on March 16
This strategy of the Congress party is entirely to keep its MLAs united and to prevent any kind of cross voting. All these MLAs will now directly reach to vote in the Rajya Sabha elections on March 16 and after that will also participate in the session of Haryana Assembly.
