China has announced a new K visa, which has been effective from 1 October 2025, especially designed to attract young and talented professionals in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (Stem). China’s Ministry of Justice has clarified that this visa will be for foreign youth who have graduated or high degrees in stem subjects from reputed universities or research institutes in China or abroad or have done teaching or research work in a research institute or university.
