After the incident, the city police, acting on the basis of the complaint, registered a case against Robin Verma and his son, resident of Sunarwali Gali, and arrested both of them and sent them to jail. After this incident, accused Robin Verma’s elder brother Vivek Verma alias Sonu was under deep mental stress, because he was continuously trying to reach a compromise with the family of the injured child, but the victim’s side was not ready for this.
It is alleged that Harish Verma alias Harro, who appeared to be the father in the relationship of injured Riyansh, was continuously threatening him to kill him. Due to this pressure and stress, Vivek Verma alias Sonu committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance. During treatment in the hospital, he gave his last statement to the police, in which he also mentioned the threats given by Harish Verma.
Vivek Verma’s audio and video clip gave a twist in the case
The case took a new turn when an audio and video clip of Vivek Verma alias Sonu surfaced. The family members of the deceased allege that Riyansh’s Baba Harish Verma often threatened them on phone and was demanding Rs 1.5 crore in exchange for the settlement. After receiving several threatening calls, Vivek Verma had also recorded a call in his mobile phone, in which he was being threatened with death if he got bail from the High Court or opened a shop.
It is being told that on March 12, there was a phone conversation between Vivek Verma and Harish alias Harro, after which he was under a lot of stress. Due to this mental pressure, he went out of the house and consumed poisonous substance. He was taken to the district hospital in a critical condition, where in his statement to the police, he also mentioned the threats given by Riyansh’s Baba.
