BSF jawan shot dead after entering his house in Meerut, police registered FIR and started investigation

BSF jawan Nain Singh was shot dead after entering his house late Saturday evening in Dhanpur village of Incholi police station area of ​​Meerut. After committing the crime the accused fled from the spot.

Nain Singh, a resident of Dhanpur village, was posted in West Bengal as a constable in the Border Security Force (BSF), had come home on leave on March 6 and was scheduled to return to duty on April 2. He was sleeping at home at the time of the incident. Other family members were not present at home, the wife had gone to her parents’ house with the children, the parents were also out of the house, while the brother had gone to work, only Nain Singh was at home.

Meanwhile, an unknown youth entered the house and shot the sleeping Nain Singh, due to which he died on the spot. It is being told that he had an old rivalry with a youth of the village. There was a dispute regarding this three days ago and also on the day of the incident.

As soon as information about the incident was received, senior police officers reached the spot with the police force. The police have started investigating the case by sending the body for postmortem. In the preliminary investigation, murder is suspected due to rivalry.

Incholi police station in-charge Bajrang Prasad said that the deceased has been identified as Nain Singh (35), who was a resident of Dhanpur village. He was posted as a constable in BSF and had come home on leave these days. He said that on the basis of the complaint lodged by the relatives of the deceased, a case has been registered and efforts are being made to identify the attacker. The victim’s family members told that Singh was posted in West Bengal and he had come to his home on March 6.
