Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) under the leadership of Tariq Rahman, son of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, has secured a landslide majority in the Bangladesh general elections. In such a situation, now the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi congratulated the party chief Tariq Rehman. PM Modi said that this victory shows the confidence of the people of Bangladesh in his leadership. He also said that India will always stand in support of a democratic, progressive and inclusive Bangladesh.
