After this, a meeting of NDA MLAs was held in the evening at the residence of Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief Upendra Kushwaha. During this period there was discussion regarding Rajya Sabha elections. A banquet was also organized at Kushwaha’s residence.
NDA meeting held in LJP office
A meeting of the party’s legislative party regarding the Rajya Sabha elections was held at the Bihar state office of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Patna, in which all the MLAs of the party participated. Regarding Bihar Rajya Sabha elections, NDA’s Central Observer and Union Surface Transport Minister Harsh Malhotra, Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi, National General Secretary Rituraj Singha along with LJP Ram Vilas State President Raju Tiwari and Acting State President Ashraf Ansari participated.
Meeting also held at Upendra Kushwaha’s residence
Here, JDU National Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha, who came to attend the meeting organized at the residence of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief, said that the legislature meeting was held at Upendra Kushwaha’s place. Elections are going to be held on 16 March.
He said that NDA will win all five seats, four are certain and the fifth is also being won by a big margin. BJP MLA Sunil Kumar Pintu also claimed victory on all five seats and said that this banquet is a party of victory.
Rajya Sabha elections will be held on five seats
Actually, five Rajya Sabha seats from Bihar have become vacant this time and elections are going to be held on these seats. NDA has fielded five candidates while RJD has fielded one candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections. In the 243-member Bihar Assembly, a candidate needs the support of 41 MLAs to win. Currently NDA has a total of 202 MLAs. Based on this, NDA can easily win four seats.
Even after winning four seats, it still has some votes left, but to win the fifth seat it will need other MLAs. In the opposition camp is the grand alliance led by Rashtriya Janata Dal. The Grand Alliance has a total of 35 MLAs. It will need other MLAs to win one seat. This is the reason why the discussion about political mathematics and manipulation regarding this election has intensified.
