
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar joined JDU on Sunday (March 08, 2026). On this occasion, big leaders like party state president Umesh Kushwaha, Union Minister Lalan Singh, Sanjay Jha, Bijendra Yadav, Vijay Chaudhary were present. Nishant Kumar expressed his gratitude to everyone during the membership acceptance.
Nishant Kumar said, “I congratulate all of you present here. Express my gratitude. I have come to the JDU office. I have come here to take membership of JDU. I will try to take care of the party as an active member. My father has decided to go to Rajya Sabha, this is his personal decision. I accept it. I respect it.”
‘Whatever father did in 20 years…’
Nishant said, “I will try to live up to the trust that the party and the public have placed in me. As a party worker, I will try to strengthen the party organization. I will try to convey to the people what my father did in 20 years. Everyone will remember what my father did in 20 years. The entire country is proud of what my father has done in 20 years.”
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was not present on this occasion. RCP Singh, who was once close to Nitish Kumar, posted on X and wrote, “Dear Nishant, many best wishes and blessings to you for coming into active politics.”
A large number of party workers were present for this membership induction program. Activists Nishant Kumar were seen raising slogans of Zindabad. Let us inform that before this, Nishant Kumar had held a meeting with senior party leaders and young MLAs on last Saturday (March 07, 2026) at the house of JDU working president. In the meeting, the future strategy of the party and how to take the party forward in a better way was discussed.
