Revenue department is directly connected to the public

Revenue department is the department directly related to the general public. Many important works like land records, property registration, issuance of income, caste and residence certificates, disaster management, election duty, implementation of government schemes and maintaining law and order during festivals are the responsibility of this department. The workload has increased significantly in recent years. Especially after the implementation of the new law BNSS 2023, judicial and administrative responsibilities have increased further.

With this approval of the Lieutenant Governor, it is expected that the shortage of employees at the ground level will be removed. People will have to visit offices less for their work and services will be available faster. The government says that this will reduce the distance between the administration and the public and there will be transparency and speed in the work.
