Bhadohi massacre: MP Arun Bharti met the victim’s family, targeted Akhilesh and UP Police

The case of murder of an elderly Dalit (Pasi) watchman Jaislal by burning him alive in Pipargaon of Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh has now gained political significance. UP in-charge of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and MP Arun Bharti met the victim’s family and expressed his deep condolences.

During this, he made serious allegations of negligence on the police of Yogi government of the state and fiercely targeted the opposition including Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Taunt on Akhilesh Yadav’s ‘PDA’

In a special conversation with ABP News correspondent, MP Arun Bharti raised questions on SP’s ‘PDA’ (Backward, Dalit, Minority) slogan. He said that since the victim is from Dalit (Pasi) community and the accused is from Yadav community, perhaps that is why Akhilesh Yadav or any of his big leaders did not reach here. He alleged that the SP leaders did not muster the courage to even say a word in favor of the victims, which proves that they are not concerned with the pain and suffering of the victims.

Questions raised on Yogi’s police, demand for compensation of Rs 50 lakh

Questioning the functioning of UP Police, Arun Bharti said that it is not justified to send only one accused to jail despite the deceased’s own statement (Dying Declaration). According to family members, on March 9, after complaining about the hand pump, village head Chinta Devi, her husband and son poured petrol on Jaisalal and set him on fire. The MP has demanded from the administration that strictest action should be taken against the culprits.

Financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh should be given to the victim’s family. A member of Riwar should be provided a government job and residential lease immediately. He warned that if justice is not given from the Yogi government, then LJP will raise its voice against this injustice from the streets to the Parliament.

Only ‘vote bank’ politics is being done in the name of Kanshi Ram

Speaking on Dalit politics, the LJP leader also slammed BSP, SP, Congress and Azad Samaj Party. He said that all these parties are competing to celebrate the birthday of Honorable Kanshi Ram just for the vote bank, but all this disappears at the time of upliftment of Dalits and providing them justice. Dalit society should avoid such ‘polymorphs’.

Hitting back at Congress’s demand to give Bharat Ratna to Kanshi Ram posthumously, Bharti said, “Kanshi Ram ji is God for the Dalit society. Now everyone is only doing leadership. We have also demanded Bharat Ratna for Kanshi Ram ji and our party’s founder and messiah of the poor, late Ram Vilas Paswan ji.”
