Gujarat Titans appoint Matthew Hayden as batting coach for IPL 2026

New Delhi. Former Australian and Chennai Super Kings opening batsman Matthew Hayden has once again entered the Indian Premier League. He has been appointed the new batting coach of Gujarat Titans on Tuesday (10 March). Hayden played IPL for CSK from 2008 to 2010 and also won the Orange Cap in 2009. He has been associated with IPL as a commentator for many years, but in 2026 he will be seen in a new role.

Hayden will be a part of Ashish Nehra’s coaching team in IPL 2026 and will work with players like Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan, Jos Buttler, Glenn Phillips, Jason Holder, Washington Sundar and others. After his appointment, Hayden said in a statement, “Good batting creates pressure. Great batting takes over the match. This is the standard we want to set at Gujarat Titans.”
