BCCI announces Naman Award 2026

New Delhi: BCCI has announced Naman Awards 2026. The award ceremony will be organized on 15 March 2026 in New Delhi. On this special occasion, India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill will be given the Polly Umrigar Award for the best international men’s cricketer for the second time for the year 2024-25. Shubman Gill made a splash with his batting in the year 2024-25. Especially on the England tour, Shubman had shown amazing performance.

At the same time, in women’s cricket, Smriti Mandhana will get the honor of Best International Women Cricketer for the fifth time in her career. Mandhana also showed a stellar performance for Team India in the last season. Due to Mandhana’s excellent performance, Team India was successful in winning the ODI World Cup title for the first time. For their excellent services to Indian cricket, Roger Binny and Rahul Dravid have been awarded BCCI’s highest honour, Colonel C.K. Naidu will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Also, Mithali Raj will be given the Lifetime Achievement Award for taking women’s cricket to new heights across the world.

Ayush became the best all-rounder of the year in domestic cricket

Talking about domestic cricket, Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre has been adjudged the best all-rounder in limited overs matches for the year 2024-25, while Vidarbha’s Harsh Dubey will receive the Lala Amarnath Award for the best all-rounder for his excellent performance in the Ranji Trophy. Let us tell you that under the captaincy of Ayush, Team India also won the Under-19 World Cup title.

However, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who performed well in this Under-19 World Cup, was not included in any category of the Naman Award. A major reason behind this is that Vaibhav’s performance in domestic cricket was average. Vaibhav, who played domestic cricket for Bihar, was seen struggling a lot except for one or two innings.
