
Anantnag District Police of Jammu and Kashmir issued a public counseling on Saturday (September 20), citing existing security concerns, the use of drones, UAVs or any other aerial equipment in the district without the prior permission of the competent authority.
According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, this consultation has been issued in the interest of public safety and it has been said that individuals, institutions, media persons and program organizers will have to get permission before flying drones.
The police have warned that strict action will be taken under the relevant legal provisions on any unauthorized flight and such equipment can be confiscated. The public has been urged to be vigilant and any suspected drone activity on close police station or district helpline number 9419051940 and 01932-22222870.

Officials emphasized that the cooperation of citizens is necessary to maintain peace, security and security in the district. This counseling has also raised concerns after intelligence agencies issued an alert about the possibility of getting drones by various terrorist groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir.
