Many leaders including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia have written a letter to the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court regarding the Delhi Excise Policy issue. A demand has been made to remove the hearing of the excise case from the bench of Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma. The leaders have appealed to transfer the case to an impartial bench.
The letter claims to present evidence related to allegations of bias against Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma. It has been said in the letter that the Supreme Court has already overturned many of his orders in the excise case. Leaders say that by transferring the case to another bench, the fairness of the justice process will be maintained and people’s confidence will also be strengthened.
