Last week, rumors of petrol and diesel crisis due to war had created panic in Rajasthan, while now discussions about shortage of commercial gas cylinders have created an outcry. However, the Rajasthan government has termed this as a complete rumor and has made it clear that at present there is no shortage of gas cylinders, both domestic and commercial, nor is there going to be any crisis-like situation in the coming days.
In fact, for the last two days, there is a strong discussion in all parts of Rajasthan including the capital Jaipur that there is going to be a crisis of commercial gas cylinders in the state in the coming days and the supply may be disrupted. It so happened that due to the war, the prices of both domestic and commercial gas cylinders were increased. After this, it was decided to make the next booking of domestic cylinder only after 25 days.
Claim of problems in the coming days
To ensure that domestic consumers do not face problems due to changes in rules, companies asked distributors to provide them cylinders on priority basis. Some people distorted this and claimed that commercial gas cylinders were not being supplied. There may be problems in the coming days and it may affect everything from marriages to restaurants and hotels.
When this discussion spread rapidly, the department also came into action. The Food and Civil Supplies Department of Rajasthan clearly says that there is no shortage of gas cylinders, both domestic and commercial. The talk of crisis is a complete rumour. People have been advised to avoid rumours.
Why did the rumor spread?
In fact, responsible people associated with the department say that due to rumours, many people want to stock both domestic and commercial gas cylinders. Guidelines have been issued to distributors regarding this. They are working under the same and are forbidding people from stocking unnecessarily, due to which this rumor has spread.
The department claims that there is no crisis of any kind. Gas cylinders are available in sufficient quantity. Like before, gas filled cylinders are also being available from the Central Government. The government of Rajasthan is in constant touch with the central government. It can be said that due to the war, first a crowd of people gathered in Rajasthan by fanning the petrol diesel crisis and now the rumor of shortage of commercial gas cylinders has worked to scare people.
