India performed brilliantly in the semi-finals of the Under-19 World Cup and achieved another historic victory by defeating Afghanistan. In this exciting match, the Indian team showed excellent performance in every department and easily achieved the big target of 311 runs by losing 3 wickets. This victory shows the depth and brightness of the future of Indian youth cricket. The heroes of the victory were Vaibhav Suryavanshi, century-winner Aaron George and Ayush Mahatre.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Afghanistan team scored a strong score of 310 runs in the stipulated 50 overs. Their batsmen tried their best to put pressure on the Indian bowlers. The century innings of Faizal and Uzairullah in the middle order provided a strong base and by scoring fast runs in the last overs, the score crossed 300. India achieved this score in just 41.1 overs.

Opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi started the innings with a bang and put pressure on the Afghan bowlers. His fast batting gave India a great start in the powerplay. Arun played an innings of 115 runs in 104 balls.
