ACME Solar seals 450 MW battery-backed power deal with SJVN

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with state-run SJVN for a combined capacity of 450 MW and 1,800 MWh of storage, the company announced on Thursday. The agreements were executed through its subsidiary, ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited, and carry a 25-year tenure.

The deals, signed on March 2, 2026, fall under SJVN’s Tranche-FDRE-4 tender, which was floated through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding guidelines. ACME Solar won the bid at an e-reverse auction held on October 9, 2025, and received a Letter of Award the following month.

Under the terms of the agreement, ACME Solar will supply four hours of assured peak power during non-solar hours, with a 90 per cent availability guarantee on both monthly and annual basis. The projects will connect to Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) substations and leverage the company’s existing night-time connectivity in high-irradiation zones in Rajasthan.

With these agreements, ACME Solar has signed 1,690 MW of PPAs in the current financial year, bringing its total contracted capacity under PPAs to 6,270 MW.

The Gurugram-based company currently has an overall portfolio of 8,071 MW spanning solar, wind, hybrid, and storage projects. Of this, 2,966 MW is operational and 5,105 MW is under construction, including approximately 17 GWh of battery energy storage systems.

The shares of Acme Solar Holdings Limited were trading at ₹241.50 up by ₹11.26 or 4.89 per cent on the NSE today at 12.38 pm.
