Many times even a small everyday mistake creates such a situation that even the person himself gets shocked. Something similar happened with 42 year old Tommy Lynch. When he woke up one morning, he saw that his entire body had turned blue from head to toe. Seeing this, he himself got scared and his friend immediately took him to the hospital. But when the real reason came to light, even the doctors started laughing.

Actually, Tommy was gifted new navy blue colored bedsheets by his friend. These king-size sheets were about 40 pounds (about Rs 5 thousand). Tommy spread those sheets on the bed without washing them and started sleeping in them. After sleeping in the same sheets for two consecutive nights, when he woke up in the afternoon on the third day, his entire body appeared to be bright blue. He himself did not understand how this happened. He was also feeling very tired. When his friend saw him in this condition, he got scared and decided to immediately take him to the hospital.

Even the doctors in the hospital were surprised
As soon as they reached the hospital, the doctors immediately laid Tommy on the bed and put him on oxygen. Doctors felt that perhaps there was a lack of oxygen in his body or there could be some serious illness. But the real secret was revealed when a doctor applied an alcohol wipe on his hand. As soon as the doctor cleaned his hands, the wipe turned blue. Then Tommy realized that it was actually the color of his new bedsheets which had stuck to his skin.

It became a funny story for doctors too
When this truth came out, the doctors and staff of the hospital also laughed. Tommy also apologized and said that he did not know that new sheets should be washed before using them. According to The Mirror, he told that the people present in the emergency room of the hospital were looking at him as if they had seen a ghost. He himself was feeling quite embarrassed. Tommy told that even after returning home, the blue color did not go away from his body immediately. He had to take bath repeatedly for several days and after about a week the complexion completely cleared. After this entire incident, Tommy understood very well how important it is to wash new sheets before using them.
