
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Government, it is continuously striving to ensure that the right to quality education is not hampered by any child due to disability. With the aim of making inclusive education effective at the school level and connecting children with special needs with mainstream education, a comprehensive capacity building campaign of teachers and education stakeholders is being conducted across the state.
In this sequence, in accordance with the National Education Policy-2020 and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act (RPWD Act), 2016, a five-day national online training program will be organized on the subject of deafness (combined disability of hearing and vision) from 29 June to 3 July 2026 under the auspices of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Instructions have been given to all the District Basic Education Officers, District Coordinators (Integrated Education) and Block Education Officers of the state to ensure maximum participation and to send information about the training to every school.
Will get practical training for inclusive education
The objective of this training is to develop scientific understanding and sensitivity regarding deaf blindness among teachers, special educators, teacher educators, teacher education students, caregivers and other stakeholders. During the training, information about the causes of deaf-blindness, effective communication methods, tactile signing, assistive technologies, livelihood and income-generating activities and necessary help and support systems will be given. There will also be a detailed discussion regarding the promotion of quality education, self-reliance, inclusive development and social participation of deaf and blind children.
Teachers and stakeholders from across the state will be involved
All teachers of schools, special educators, teacher educators, teacher education students and other stakeholders will be able to participate in the training. The training will be conducted online every day from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm. Its live telecast will be done on PM eVidya DTH ISL Channel no.31, NCERT Official YouTube Channel and NCERT Events YouTube Channel respectively. Participants will be able to connect to the live session only through these authorized platforms. The training will be available in both Hindi and English languages and there is no registration fee to participate in it.
Free Registration and NCERT e-Certificate
NCERT has arranged for free online registration for the participants willing to participate in the training. The participants who score 70 percent or more marks in the online quiz conducted after the training will be provided an e-certificate by NCERT. District level officials have been instructed to ensure maximum participation by spreading information about training and registration links to all schools, special educators, teacher educators and other stakeholders through other mediums including WhatsApp.

Inclusive education will get a new basis
Concrete steps are being taken continuously to strengthen Nipun Bharat Mission, integrated education, kindergarten and education of children with special needs in the state. This national training organized on the topic of deaf-blindness will strengthen the inclusive and sensitive learning environment in schools along with enhancing the capacity of teachers. This will give new strength to the efforts to provide quality education, self-reliance and equal opportunities to children with special needs as per their needs and will help in effectively pursuing the objectives of inclusive education of the National Education Policy-2020.
