What did the investigation reveal?
District administration and departmental investigation also revealed that Dr. Singh was allegedly seeing patients in his private clinic. This truth came to light when a pseudo patient was sent to his clinic. During district administration and departmental investigation, his official vehicle was found parked outside his clinic. Patients and clinic staff also informed about their availability. In this way, there are indications of his doing private practice even during the period of government work.
Dr. Narendra Pratap was relieved
In the investigation, prima facie allegations of negligence, dereliction of duty, misuse of government resources and unauthorized absence have been found against Dr. Narendra Pratap. On this basis, he has been relieved from the additional charge of PMCH Principal and posted in Government Medical College, Bettiah. However, this is only an administrative transfer and not a punitive action. A high-level committee will be formed to investigate the matter and further action will be taken after hearing Dr. Singh’s side.
