
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief C. Joseph Vijay met filmmaker K. Venkat Narayanan has been appointed as the special representative of the state government in New Delhi. The state government issued an official order in this regard on Friday. However, as soon as this appointment was made, political controversy started. The opposition DMK has raised questions on this decision, calling it ignorance of administrative experience.
As per the orders of the Government, K. Venkat Narayanan has been appointed as the Special Representative of the Government of Tamil Nadu for a period of one year. This appointment will be effective from the date of assuming charge. The post of Special Representative is considered an important medium of coordination between the state government and the central government. The person appointed to this post works to liaise with Union Ministers, arrange Delhi meetings of the Chief Minister and provide necessary information to the MPs of the state during the Parliament session.

Narayanan is also the lead producer of Vijay’s upcoming political drama film ‘Jana Nayakan’. The film has been in the news in recent months due to the delay in certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and the film being leaked online before its release.
