Rajasthan Son Drags Elderly Father On Road Crushes Him To Death With Tractor Over Land Dispute – Jhunjhunu News

A land dispute destroyed a family in Dhosi village of Mehada police station area located in Khetri subdivision of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. A family dispute that had been going on for nearly three years took a bloody turn on Thursday night, when a son allegedly brutally murdered his own father. After the incident, sensation spread in the entire village. The police have taken the accused son into custody and registered a case of murder and started investigation.

According to the police, a case has been registered on the complaint of the deceased’s son-in-law, Rakesh Kumar, resident of Badhra. The report said that 65-year-old Mahavir Prasad, a resident of Dhosi village, was alone at home on Thursday night. His wife had gone to Ghardana to meet some relatives. Mahavir Prasad was sitting near the village Dharamshala at around 10.30 pm. Meanwhile, his 38-year-old son Shamsher Singh reached there and an altercation started between the two regarding the land.

According to eyewitnesses, as the dispute escalated, Shamsher Singh started fighting with his father. The villagers present nearby tried to intervene, but did not accept the accused. It is said that he beat his father and dragged him to the road. It is alleged that after this the accused deliberately hit the father with his tractor parked at the spot. Seriously injured Mahavir Prasad was immediately taken to the Government Sub District Hospital, Khetri, where doctors declared him dead.

Land dispute was going on for three years

Mehada police station officer Ram Manohar Tholiya said that preliminary investigation has revealed that there was a dispute regarding land between father and son for about three years. For this reason both were living separately. Many times the family members and villagers tried to reach a compromise, but the dispute could not end.

Police detained the accused

As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and collected evidence. Accused Shamsher Singh has been taken into custody. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family members after the post-mortem was conducted by the Medical Board at the Government Sub District Hospital, Khetri. The police are thoroughly investigating all aspects of the case.
