Allegation of obstruction on Tajiya road

Police said that Shubhankar Sharma had created a blockage by placing a tin shed at the designated place for keeping Tajiya. In order to maintain peace and law and order, the Sub-Collector Martinganj and the police team reached the spot and explained the removal of three sheds, on which they assured to remove them, but the tin shed was not removed.

On the day of Tajiya procession, when the police was again asked to remove the tin shed, instead of cooperating, Shubhankar Sharma misbehaved with the senior officials and policemen and made objectionable comments. On which the station in-charge got angry and slapped him. On this matter, SP Rural Chirag Jain said that the investigation of the incident has been handed over to CO Phulpur. Action will be taken based on the facts that come to light in the investigation.

The family members now surrounded the police

Subhankar Sharma’s grandmother Chinta Devi told that the tin shed which was removed had been standing for many years. She has no objection to Tajiyas nor did she ever oppose it, rather she herself respects Tajiyas, and her entire family has been worshiping Tajiyas.

The Tajiyadars used to go through the side road with the Tajiyas. But due to the construction of a house on that road, the road was closed and this year the police forcefully removed his tin shed for Tajiya. When her grandson protested against this, the police beat him, due to which she is sad and she is pleading with the administration that no action should be taken against her family and their tin shed should be rebuilt as before.
