Alert.. Nihangs are coming to Dehradun. On Thursday night, when some Nihang Sikhs left Vikas Nagar for Dehradun, there was panic. When input was received, Premnagar was converted into a cantonment. Soon the markets started closing. A large number of police and PAC gathered in Premnagar. Traffic was also stopped immediately. Due to which the roads got jammed. The situation remained the same in Premnagar till around 12:30 in the night.
The sirens of police vehicles started echoing on the road of Premnagar. Immediately Premnagar was barricaded and converted into a cantonment. Heavy police force was deployed everywhere. At Premnagar Chowk, no vehicle was allowed to enter Dehradun or go towards Vikas Nagar. Within no time the roads got jammed. An atmosphere of chaos was created on the spot. Everyone’s eyes remained fixed on the road leading from Premnagar to Vikasnagar. Police vans, fire brigade vehicles and forces from across the district were called for security.
People of Premnagar came to the streets, shutters of shops started falling
As soon as police vehicles started arriving in Premnagar at night, there was a stir. When the police immediately barricaded the area, the force also started arriving continuously. Within no time there was panic among the people and the shutters of the shops started falling. Crowds of local people started gathering on the streets. The situation remained the same on the road of Premnagar till midnight.

In Premnagar, as soon as the police stopped the vehicles by barricading, there was a long traffic jam. Everyone kept trying to know the situation. People came in their vehicles and started asking what had happened. After this there was a long jam for about one and a half to two hours. People were very upset by this.
