China, which challenges America, the world’s most powerful country, has been using diplomacy and strategy to make its presence felt in many countries of South Asia, in which many countries have been trapped till now and now China is trying to trap India’s neighboring country Nepal in this trap.
In fact, China has offered a four-point roadmap for its relations with Nepal, in which China is talking about investing heavily in the development of infrastructure within Nepal under its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). This is indicated by the article written by Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming recently in a Nepali newspaper.

China’s Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming has written a column in Kathmandu Post, in which he has mentioned about China’s strategy regarding Nepal. He has said in this article that Nepali land will not be used to harm Chinese interests.
He wrote, ‘China has always given priority to its relations with Nepal on its diplomatic agenda with its neighboring countries. Our policy of friendship towards Nepal includes all the people of the neighboring country. We will continue to support Nepal in protecting its national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, support the new Nepali government in smoothly governing with the support of the people, and help Nepal follow the path of development based on its national realities.
What is China’s four-point roadmap regarding Nepal??
Chinese Ambassador Maoming further wrote in his column, ‘Both sides, China and Nepal, have agreed that under the high-quality Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), they will have to continue to align their development strategies with each other. Along with this, mutual cooperation in various areas will have to be deepened and the quality and efficiency of our bilateral relations will also have to be strengthened, for which four areas have been specifically identified.

in which, First sutra- The aim is to improve connectivity between China and Nepal by accelerating the development of cross-border transport, border infrastructure and air connectivity. This will simplify the exchange between both the parties. Also, logistics efficiency will be better.
Second formula- To enhance cooperation in the areas of electricity, power grid and clean energy in Nepal and enhance Nepal’s energy security and green development capacity.
Third formula- To further improve the trade structures between the two countries, so as to promote mutually beneficial cooperation. Along with this, to create a fair, law-friendly business environment for Chinese companies to invest and operate in Nepal, so as to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Fourth sutra- To increase people-to-people exchange on government experience. Along with this, strengthening bilateral relations by strengthening cooperation in the fields of education, youth, administration and media.
