A major accident took place on Thursday in the Rice Mill located in Bahjoi area of Sambhal. Two laborers who had descended into the 15 feet deep chamber of the maize drying elevator died after inhaling poisonous gas.
There was chaos in the mill premises after the incident. Police reached the spot after receiving the information and took out the bodies of both the laborers and sent them for post-mortem. The causes of the accident are being investigated.
