Indore News: Big action in Indore after Lucknow fire, many coaching centers sealed, students returned home

Lucknow Indore administration has come into alert mode after the massive fire in the coaching center and the death of 15 students. On the instructions of Collector Shivam Verma, investigation of coaching institutes across the city was started regarding the safety of students. For this, joint teams of Municipal Corporation, Fire Brigade, Revenue Department and other related departments were formed, which inspected the coaching centers located in different areas.

During investigation, fire safety rules were not found to be followed in many coaching institutes. Officials did not get fire NOC at many places, while emergency exits, fire fighting equipment and other safety arrangements in some institutions were not up to standards. The officials considered it a serious negligence and took immediate action.

Many coaching centers locked

During the inspection, the coaching institutes where security standards were found to be ignored were sealed on the spot. At the time of the action, the students present in the coaching were taken out safely and sent home.

Due to this sudden action, there was a stir among the students and parents. However, the administration clarified that this step has been taken only keeping in mind the safety of the students.

The administration says that there will be no compromise on the safety of the students. Strict action will continue against those institutions which are found violating the rules. Officials said that all the coaching centers of the city are being inspected in a phased manner, so that any kind of accident can be prevented in future.

You will get 15 to 20 days time for improvement

The administration has also clarified that the sealed institutions will be given 15 to 20 days time after giving the affidavit. During this time they will have to complete all the necessary arrangements related to fire safety and security.

They will be allowed to operate again only after the arrangements are completed as per the set standards and the inspection finds satisfactory conditions. The administration believes that this campaign will strengthen the security arrangements in coaching institutes and ensure a safe environment for the students.
