The investigation of the SIT (Special Investigation Team) in the case of embezzlement of donation money in Ram temple in Ayodhya continued for the second day on Tuesday. The team continued to investigate the temple premises for more than seven hours. So far, more than a hundred people including trust officials, priests, bank officials have been interrogated. Questioning and answering of the suspects is also going on.
The SIT reached Ayodhya on Monday and investigated for about seven and a half hours. At 11 am on Tuesday, SIT Chairman Divisional Commissioner Lucknow Vijay Vishwas Pant, Lucknow Range IG Kiran S and Special Secretary of Finance Department Neel Ratan reached the temple complex and went straight to the Trust office. District officials were also present with him.

According to sources, the SIT took information from Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and Gopal Rao and other officials and people associated with them. SIT is collecting complete information about the donation process that started after the construction of the temple. The collection of donations, their counting and the people present at the time of counting are being investigated.

CCTV footage of eight months deleted
According to sources, names of 40 to 50 people have come forward, whose role is being investigated. The team has collected complete accounts. CCTV footage is considered to be the most important evidence in the case. Former trust official Mahipal Singh had alleged that eight months of CCTV footage had been deleted.

Suspicious young man kept in the basement was caught
According to sources, the suspects who were caught have been kept in the basement of the trust office. The trust officials have given information about them to the SIT and also told how the alleged amount was recovered. Video recording of the people being interrogated by the SIT is also being done.

After all, where did the necklace and Charan Paduka worth crores go?
Another claim has come to light amidst the embezzlement case of donation money in Ram temple. Acharya Vinod Mishra says that his disciple, Jaunpur resident businessman Ajay Vishwakarma had gifted a necklace and Charan Paduka worth crores of rupees after the construction of the temple. He alleges that both the items were received by Tinnu and there was a receipt for the same, but till date neither the necklace nor the charan has been offered in the Paduka temple.
