A shooting has taken place in an informal settlement in Cleveland, east of Johannesburg, South Africa. At least 12 people died and nine others were injured in this violent incident. The South African Police Service said shots were fired in the Jumpers informal settlement at around 11:10 pm on Tuesday. Police officers immediately reached the spot and started investigation. They found multiple victims at various locations in the area. Eight men and three women were declared dead at the scene. An additional victim later died in hospital. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Reuters has reported this incident. According to police, more than 10 suspects were dropped off near the settlement in a white Toyota Quantum vehicle.
