The central government on Tuesday (June 2) took a tough stance on the ongoing controversy over the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), removed two chairmen and the secretary and ordered the formation of a high-level committee to investigate the purchase of digital assessment system by CBSE.
The government has taken this step after alleged irregularities in the digital assessment system implemented for class 12th. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has reacted on Monday. He said that the Chairman and Secretary of CBSE have been transferred.
‘Modi government rubbed salt into wounds’
That is all? Is this the government’s reaction to such a big scam? Is this punishment or protection? Kejriwal further said in the statement that by transferring the Chairman and Secretary of CBSE, the Modi government has rubbed salt on the wounds of lakhs of children and their parents.
Arvind Kejriwal targeted
Arvind Kejriwal said the Centre’s message to lakhs of students and their parents is clear that despite public outrage over alleged irregularities in the CBSE Class 12 board exams, the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will not be removed.
Responding to the news of the Center transferring two top CBSE officials, Chairman Rahul Singh and Secretary Himanshu Gupta, following the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system controversy, Kejriwal said that this step of removing them is like rubbing salt on the wounds of lakhs of students.
