Recently, during an exclusive conversation with Amar Ujala, Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes spoke openly about India and Bollywood. There came a moment in the conversation when Nicholas came to know that Dharmendra was called ‘He-Man’ in Bollywood. His surprise upon hearing this was worth seeing. Camila also expressed her desire to work in Indian cinema.
There is a different shine and happiness in Bollywood
When Nicholas was asked about his opinion about India and Bollywood, he said, ‘I have not been able to come to India yet, so I don’t think I will be able to say anything about it, but I will definitely say that whatever I have seen about Indian culture and especially Bollywood, there is a different glow and happiness in it. To some extent, the same tone can be seen in our film also.

Never seen a superhero movie like this before
While talking about the film, Camila Mendes told why she finds this film different from other superhero films? Camila said, ‘What impressed me most was how brilliantly the film strikes a balance between humour, seriousness of the emotional story and visual world-building.
Travis Knight (director of the film) had a very clear vision for this film. I have seen many superhero movies, but have never seen a world like this before. The scale on which the film was made and the way Travis brought it to the screen impressed me a lot.

Becoming ‘He-Man’ was not easy
Talking about the difficulties of playing the character of a superhero on screen, Nicholas said, ‘Some scenes of the film were very difficult for me not only physically but also emotionally. You are constantly working out, not wearing much clothes and action is going on in your mind. In such a situation, even if you have to bring tears to your eyes, it becomes very difficult to do that emotional scene.

While the emotional scenes challenged Nicolas, the action and stunts proved to be the most difficult for Camila. Regarding this, Camila said, ‘There were many such challenges. But I think the wire work was the most challenging.
His perfect weight distribution, jumping off the truck and landing beautifully. Also when you are thrown into the air, it really feels like you are being thrown into the air. It was quite difficult to get used to that thing. There is no doubt that there were many physical challenges during this film.

Shocked to hear about Dharmendra
The funniest moment of this conversation came when Nicholas was asked if he knew who was called ‘He-Man’ in Bollywood? He immediately asked- who? Then when he was told that late veteran actor Dharmendra was known as ‘He-Man’ in Bollywood, his response was, ‘Really? This is unbelievable. Camila smiled and said, ‘This is wonderful.’ After knowing about Dharmendra, both the artists regretted that they could not get a chance to meet him.

No one even called…
Camila Mendes was seen in a custom gown designed by Manish Malhotra at the Met Gala 2026. In such a situation, when he was asked about working in Bollywood and Indian cinema, he gave an interesting answer. Camila said, ‘I would definitely like to do that. I was never asked for it, never invited. If you get a chance, why not? I think it is a very beautiful art. And I know Manish is very respected in that industry, so if somehow he can get me involved in it, it would be great.
