
Last night, a scene was seen in Gundali village of Mandal assembly constituency of Bhilwara district of Rajasthan, which shocked the entire area. At around 11 pm, suddenly the wire of 11 thousand KV power line broke and fell on the houses and within no time, screams echoed in the happy houses.
There was chaos all around. Suddenly the electrical items in the houses started bursting into flames. Before people could understand anything, everything got burnt and turned into junk. Some people tried to extinguish the fire but got burnt due to it. Suddenly darkness spread all around the village, there were screams in the streets.

Innocent child dies, mourning spread in the village
Due to breakage of 11 KV V line wire, Kishan Gurjar, who was taking care of a family and was sleeping on the terrace to get relief from the heat and to take good sleep, died on the spot due to electric shock. He was sleeping with his family under the open sky, but who knew that the power line passing above would cause death and shatter the family, after the painful death of Kishan in the accident, there was mourning in the entire village, every eye was moist, every face was seen immersed in shock.
More than a dozen people burnt, 70 houses destroyed
The magnitude of the accident of breakage of 11 thousand KV line wire can be gauged from the fact that more than a dozen villagers got burnt, while about 70 houses got affected by this high voltage current, coolers, fridges, TVs, fans and other electronic items installed in the houses got burnt to ashes in a moment, people’s hard work of years came to an end in one stroke.
Villagers themselves ran to switch off the electricity
Immediately after the tragedy of breakage of 11,000 KV line, when the villagers made several calls to the electricity department’s grid, no response was received. The people of the village were forced to reach the Mujras grid located in the Karoi area and got the electricity supply stopped, only then the situation came under control.
‘Liquor party’ on the grid, villagers get angry
The villagers of Gundali allege that when they reached the electricity grid located in Mujras, the employees present there were busy in a liquor party and were intoxicated. The villagers were shocked to see the scene, the villagers immediately informed the Bagor police station, this carelessness further fueled the anger of the villagers, the villagers beat up the employees and handed them over to the police.
Administration into action, heavy police force deployed
As soon as information was received about the death of one person due to breaking of 11 thousand KV line wire and electrical goods worth lakhs of rupees being burnt to ashes, the district administration and police reached the spot. Sahada-Gangapur Additional SP, Deputy Rahul Joshi and SHO of Bagor police station Bhanwar Lal Jat along with Japta of nearby police station were deployed on the spot.
The agitated villagers were calmed down by giving advice.
The dead body of the young man who got hit due to breaking of 11,000 KV line wire was kept in the mortuary of Government Hospital, Bagor. During this, a large number of villagers and community members gathered along with his family members and insisted on the demand of compensation, on which, after persuasion by the officials, the post-mortem of the deceased Kishan Gurjar was done by the Medical Board in Bagor Government Hospital on Sunday morning. After this the body was handed over to the family members, where the atmosphere remained very sad during the last farewell.
