As soon as the police raid took place, there was chaos among the people present in the hookah bar. Someone was seen trying to get out and someone started hiding inside, but the police surrounded the entire area and took action.
According to the information, on the instructions of Police Commissioner Sharat Kaviraj, a continuous campaign is being conducted against illegal hookah bars in the city. In this series, late on Thursday night, the police team under the leadership of Ravinder Bothra raided the CO2 hookah bar. During the action, the police detained more than two dozen people.
Hookah and liquor bottles containing chemicals recovered
According to police officials, during the raid in the hookah bar, the police recovered chemical-laden hookahs, liquor bottles and other suspected narcotics from the spot. Police have also found hookah flavor and several equipment being used, which are being investigated.
Rules were being flouted openly
According to sources, a crowd of youth was gathering in the hookah bar till late night and rules were being openly flouted. Police had been receiving complaints of illegal activities here for a long time, after which this action was taken. Police have registered a case against hookah bar operators Chakraborty Singh Amit Jain. Now investigation is also being done to find out from where the illegal chemicals and narcotics were being supplied.
