The construction of the stadium will be completed by 23 December 2027.

The international cricket stadium being built in Gorakhpur will take shape in an area of ​​46 acres. This stadium with a total capacity of 30 thousand spectators will be built on the basis of ‘ground plus two floors’. There will be 7 playing pitches and 4 practice pitches for the players on its main ground. The eastern and western stands of the stadium will be able to seat 14,490 spectators each. The North Pavilion will be for 208 VIPs and 382 media persons and the South Pavilion will be for 1708 VVIPs and VIPs. To enable night matches to take place, there will be a provision of four high mast lights of international standard in the main stadium. Apart from cricket, other big events will also be held here.

This place, connected to the four-lane Gorakhpur-Varanasi highway, is at a distance of about 24 km from Gorakhpur Airport and about 20 km from the railway station. The country’s top petroleum companies will contribute a total of Rs 100 crore from their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) fund for the construction of the International Cricket Stadium in Gorakhpur. Allocation of funds after the MOU is in process. Indian Oil Corporation Limited will give Rs 60 crore, Bharat Petroleum Rs 30 crore and Hindustan Petroleum Rs 10 crore from the CSR fund for the construction of the international stadium.
