Decision to reduce petrol and diesel consumption in 899 gram panchayats of this district of UP, created history

Yogi government’s environmental protection and public awareness mission has reached new heights. On Friday, history was created by all 899 gram panchayats organizing Green Chaupal together in Ambedkar Nagar district. In this program which lasted from 9 to 10 am, comprehensive proposals for reducing petrol and diesel consumption, promoting green transportation and environmental protection were passed. This collective effort of Ambedkar Nagar has become an inspiring example for the entire state.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath In this program organized in the context of the call, a resolution was taken to take fuel and energy saving, environmental protection and cleanliness campaigns to every village. Under the direction of District Magistrate Isha Priya, village heads played an active role in this event. A large number of local people participated in the Green Chaupal organized at the same time in all the Panchayats. The village heads took the initiative to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel and took a collective pledge to promote public transport, car pooling, use of electric vehicles and green transport system. During this, topics like plantation, water conservation, cow conservation, cleanliness, organic farming, solar energy, non-burning of stubble and waste management were discussed in detail. In view of the monsoon, an action plan was also made to complete pre-plantation preparations by June 30.

The District Magistrate said that through this event the district has established two important records. First, to organize the event simultaneously by maximum Gram Panchayats at one time. Second, organizing such a huge awareness program in the shortest possible time. In the upcoming Green Chaupals organized in all Gram Panchayats, during the upcoming plantation festival, every family was asked to plant at least five saplings and ensure their care. Apart from this, consent was also given to run awareness campaigns for water conservation, cow conservation, cleanliness, green and organic farming, soil conservation, energy conservation, solar energy, environment and education.

The minister in charge appreciated the initiative
Praising this initiative, Minister in-charge Girish Chandra Yadav said that this innovative effort made by the district administration under the guidance of Yogi government will prove to be a milestone in the direction of environmental protection. It is commendable to spread the message of energy saving and green transportation to rural areas on the call of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. The Minister appealed to the public that every citizen should take a pledge to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel at the individual level and use the vehicle only as per requirement.
