
Ram Ashok Maurya, an old and ailing father from Colonelganj tehsil area of Gonda district, has sought help from the Government of India, Ministry of External Affairs, Chief Minister and public representatives to bring his son back to India from Dubai. The family, which is facing financial crisis, has demanded the return of the son to his country on humanitarian grounds. The father says that my financial condition is not good, we are unable to pay the fine of Rs 25 lakh by selling our house and farm.
He has said that I have demanded from the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs that my fine amount should be waived off or my son should be sent safely from Dubai to his homeland India along with his family. Ramnaresh Maurya reached the residence and office of BJP MP from Gonda and Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India, Govardhan Singh and submitted an application, demanding the return of his son to his homeland safely.
Dubai court has sent the son to jail in some case
Ram Ashok Maurya, son of Ram Kewal, resident of village Mehndi Hata of Colonelganj area, told in the application sent to the Minister of State for External Affairs that his son Amit Kumar was living and working in Dubai for the last four years. Meanwhile, in some case, he went to jail, where he was sentenced to six months and fined by the court.
Authorities sent the son back from the airport
According to the victim’s father, Amit Kumar had completed his six-month sentence and later worked there for some time. When he reached the airport to return to India, the authorities sent him back saying that he could not leave Dubai without paying the entire amount of the fine.
Son and father are surrounded by problems abroad
Ram Ashok Maurya told that the financial condition of the family is very bad. He himself is old and ill, due to which it is not possible to deposit the fine amount. He said that his son is surrounded by troubles abroad and the family is living in constant worry. The victim said that his wife had also died a few months ago due to worry about his son.
Demand for Indian government to intervene in the matter
He appealed to the Government of India, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Government of Uttar Pradesh to intervene in the matter on humanitarian grounds and make arrangements to bring his son back to India soon. Besides, cooperation has also been sought from the local administration and public representatives. The old father said emotionally that he wanted to bring his son back safely and live with him. The family now expects help from the government and administration only.
