
Samajwadi Party spokesperson Rajkumar Bhati, while giving clarification on the alleged controversial remarks regarding Brahmin community, has said that his statement was distorted. By writing a long post and making a video on the social media platform X, he said that he had no intention of insulting any caste or religion. He also said that if his words have hurt the sentiments of any Brahmin brother, then he apologizes unconditionally.
Gave speech at book launch program
According to Rajkumar Bhati, the launch program of Dr. Rafraf Shakeel Ansari and Javed Anwar’s book ‘Virus of Caste and Communalism’ was organized at Jawahar Bhawan, Delhi. After the program, there was a discussion on this topic, in which Yogendra Yadav, Ashutosh, Prof. Many people including Ratan Lal, Sheeba Aslam Fahmi and Bilal Ahmed were present.

Bhati told that in his speech he had mentioned the bad sayings and idioms prevalent in the society regarding castes. He said that such things have been said against every society and their aim was only to show that this kind of thinking is wrong in the society.
‘Does not think wrong about Brahmins’
The SP spokesperson said that he had also said in his speech that a journalist had recited to him a couplet related to Brahmin and Vaishya community, but it was so bad that he never recited it in public. He had also said that he does not consider such couplets to be correct and Brahmins are very good and respectable people in the society.
Bhati alleged that a clip of only a few seconds from his entire speech was being cut and made viral on social media so that he could be called anti-Brahmin. He appealed to the people to watch the entire video.
‘If anyone gets hurt, apologize with folded hands’
In his statement, Rajkumar Bhati said, “If my words have hurt any Brahmin brother or hurt his heart, then I apologize with folded hands without any condition. I had no such intention and can never do so.”
He said that he is a person associated with socialist ideology and a true socialist can never insult any caste or religion. He said that some people continuously campaign against him and try to prove him as anti-Brahmin, anti-Sanatan and anti-Hindu, whereas all these allegations are completely false.

Rajkumar Bhati claimed that the IT cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party and some people are trying to create an atmosphere by spreading his statement in a wrong way. He said that the Brahmin community has given scholars, patriots, brave warriors and intellectuals to the country and he has full respect for this society.
The SP spokesperson finally said that he is not in favor of derogatory language against any caste, religion or society and people should see the complete truth instead of the incomplete clip.
