Instructions to make museums, monuments etc. free for some time
CM appealed to citizens, wedding planners etc. to organize the event in the country itself. Said that UP also has many good places including heritage, eco sites, forts, destination weddings should be promoted there too. Visit My State campaign should be started, in which tourism based on wellness, eco, rural, wildlife and food will be promoted. UP is the first state to implement ‘One District, One Cuisine’. CM directed to make museums, monuments etc. free for some time.
The Tourism Department should hold a meeting with hotels, airlines, tour operators, travel agents etc. and give necessary instructions. He said that wherever in the world there are migrant citizens of Uttar Pradesh, they should be encouraged to visit the state. For this, visit shopping festival, heritage tour, cow shed, temple etc. Promote the use of products manufactured by local artisans, self-help groups, local entrepreneurs.
Promote gifts, products, handicrafts made in India at various events including festivals, weddings etc. ODOP and GI tagged products should be given as gifts by the state government. Swadeshi should be promoted.
