Iran blames US-Tehran for war
Iran believes that America and Israel are behind the tension in the Middle East, therefore they should be held accountable to the world. In an interview to ‘India Today’, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bakai said that ‘US-Israel should be held accountable for their actions because what they started is still continuing.’

He said, ‘Iran had to take some steps under international law and I want to make it clear that what Iran did was right according to international law. We had to face America and Israel who were misusing the land of other Gulf countries to attack Iran. This was completely illegal.

Bakai further said, ‘That’s why we had to respond. We had to take steps to stop these invaders from carrying out military attacks on this waterway. There is no fault of Iran in this. Iran is more dependent on this strait than many other countries because we are a coastal country. We want security and peace in this waterway.
When asked whether he saw any end to the conflict as countries like India were badly affected by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Bakai said, ‘You have to see what happened on February 28. Before that the Strait of Hormuz was open to every country.
