A heart-wrenching but equally inspiring incident has come to light from Pipariya area of ​​Narmadapuram district, where a 13-year-old boy not only saved his life but also saved the entire village from a major disaster by facing a dreaded wild animal like a leopard. The matter is of Kursi Khapa village under Pipariya Forest Beat, where on Saturday evening the sounds of children’s normal play near the fields suddenly turned into screams. It is being told that 13 year old Satyam Thakur was playing with other children when the leopard sitting in ambush suddenly attacked him. The speed of the attack was so fast that even the people present there were stunned for a few moments.

Amidst this dreadful scene, Satyam showed such courage which surprised everyone. To save himself from the claws of the leopard, the child without any fear grabbed his neck and pushed him back with all his strength. The struggle between the two continued for a few seconds. During this, the leopard’s nails dug deep into Satyam’s stomach and legs, injuring him, but he did not give up and continued making noise. Hearing the scream of the child, the nearby family members and villagers ran towards the spot with sticks. As soon as the villagers arrived, the noise and crowd increased, due to which the leopard got scared and ran away towards the forest. After the incident, an atmosphere of chaos and panic spread in the entire area. Villagers say that leopard movement was being seen in the area for the last few days, but no one thought that it would reach the residential area and attack the children.

As soon as information about the incident was received, the Forest Department team reached the spot and the injured Satyam Thakur was immediately taken to Pipariya Hospital. Doctors treated him at the hospital and said that his condition is now stable and he is out of danger. At present the Forest Department has issued an alert in the area and patrolling has been increased. While on one hand this entire incident has created an atmosphere of fear among the villagers, on the other hand the bravery of 13 year old Satyam has filled everyone with pride.
