Tension between America and Iran has increased once again. The US military has claimed that Iran tried to target three US Navy ships in the Strait of Hormuz, but the US military intercepted these attacks. According to the US Central Command, on Thursday, US Navy warships were passing through the Strait of Hormuz when there was an ‘unprovoked’ attack from Iran. In response, the US Army took action in self-defense against the Iranian military bases from where the attacks were carried out. America said that none of its ships were damaged and it does not want war, but is fully prepared to protect its soldiers.

Regarding this, US President Donald Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social – Three big American warships passed safely through the Strait of Hormuz, even though they were attacked. According to Trump, there was no damage to these ships, but in retaliation, Iran’s attackers were completely destroyed. Many small boats were also sunk in the sea, which Iran was using to replace its weakened navy. Trump claimed that missiles and drones were fired at American warships, but the US military destroyed all the attacks in the air. He said that Iran is not behaving like a normal country and ‘fundamentalist’ people are ruling there. Trump warned that if Iran does not reach an agreement soon, the US will take more stringent action in the future. He also said that US warships would now again join their naval blockade, which he described as a ‘wall of steel’.
The world is shocked by the firing in Hormuz
Iranian government media reported that there was firing between the Iranian army and the ‘enemy’ in the Qeshm Island area. Explosions and sounds of air defense systems were also heard in Tehran and Bandar Abbas area of southern Iran. However, the real reason for the explosions could not be made clear.
Movement of ships stopped again in Hormuz
Meanwhile, the situation regarding the Strait of Hormuz also remains serious. Iran has created a new government agency to inspect ships and collect taxes. This waterway is considered to be the most important route for oil and gas supply in the world. On the other hand, Pakistan is continuously mediating between America and Iran. Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke on phone with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Pakistan says that an agreement is expected between the two countries soon. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also said that his country is in touch with both sides ‘day and night’ so that the war can end completely and the ceasefire continues.
Trump threatens to bomb Iran
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also met with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican and discussed Middle East peace efforts. At the same time, US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that if an agreement is not reached, there may be bombing again. However, he has currently stopped the American plan to open the Strait of Hormuz with military force.
