The work of the state government will start in Srinagar from today. Chief Minister’s office has been shifted from Jammu Secretariat to Kashmir. Now the problems of the people in all the ten districts of Jammu division will be solved through Raabta.

Raabta office will forward all incoming applications online to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Complaints registered in Raabta will be sent directly to the Chief Minister’s Office. Information about their solution or action will also be conveyed to the complainant. The special thing is that the victims from remote areas who are unable to reach the Raabta office running in Jammu will be able to present their views to the government using the telecommunication medium.

Apart from this, complaints received on CM Helpline will also be sent to the Chief Minister’s Office, Srinagar. Along with the Darbar move, officers and employees of both Jammu Secretariat and Assembly have reached Srinagar in the last two days. Now movement in Jammu Secretariat is going to be limited for the next six months. Most of the people’s work will now be done either through online medium or they will have to contact the officials sitting in Srinagar over telephone.

Monsoon session of assembly will be held in Srinagar

Along with the Darbar move, the assembly staff is also leaving for Srinagar. Employees from the Assembly have gone to Srinagar on Saturday and Sunday while officers will reach Srinagar in different shifts this week. The upcoming monsoon session of the Assembly will be held in Srinagar. Earlier, the budget session of the Assembly was concluded in Jammu. The state government will now return to Jammu in the month of November and after that the upcoming budget session of the Assembly will be held in Jammu. The state government is making arrangements for accommodation for the assembly officers and employees in Srinagar in government residences and hotels.

The state government has issued helpline numbers to contact Srinagar Secretariat. Common people will be able to lodge complaints on helpline numbers 0194-2506144, 0194-2506215, 0194-2506102, 0194-2506111 and 0194-25061112. All these numbers will run every week from Monday to Friday. In this, time can also be taken to meet the officer. After the state government starts functioning from Srinagar, the people of Kashmir including Jammu division will also be able to get help from these numbers in the coming days.
