Punjab Student Suicide: A very shocking news has come out from village Jhanda Lubana of Kahnuwan block of Gurdaspur district of Punjab, where a student committed suicide due to the strict behavior of the school administration. After this incident, sensation has spread in the entire area. The deceased has been identified as Navjot Singh, who was about 15 years old. He studied in a private school in the nearby town Dasuha.
After the incident on April 27, he was admitted to a private hospital in a critical condition, where after fighting the battle of life and death for several days, he lost his life and died. Based on the family’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the school management and started investigation.
The punishment of standing in the sun became the cause of death
According to the information, this incident happened on April 27, where the school administration gave strict punishment to Navjot Singh for some mistake. It is alleged that he was made to stand in the hot sun for two consecutive periods, due to which he felt quite embarrassed.

After returning home, saddened by this insult and mental distress, the student swallowed some poisonous medicine. When his condition started deteriorating, the family immediately admitted him to the hospital, where he died during treatment.

Navjot’s classmates and other students attending the funeral have raised serious questions on the behavior of the school administration. Referring to the incident, the students revealed that the school administration often acts harshly and misbehaves with the students. The students have demanded that Navjot’s family should get justice and strictest action should be taken against the guilty school administration.
Funeral in a sad atmosphere
After the death of Navjot Singh, a wave of mourning ran in the village. The family performed his last rites in the village with heavy hearts and moist eyes. As per tradition, he was very young, so the family bid him farewell by tying his head like a groom. This incident has shaken everyone.
