Former BJP Yuva Morcha city president Sudhars Chauhan, wanted in the murder of Baghpat’s Duda city mission manager Vikrant and his girlfriend Rakhi Kashyap, was arrested by the Baghpat police on Friday. He was hiding in his house in Chauhan Enclave.
On his information, the police recovered the blood-stained stick used in the murder of Rakhi from his office on Baraut Road and seized the DVR of the CCTV camera. Sudharas’s associate Kapil Chauhan, who was involved in this double murder, has already been caught.

On Friday, the police revealed the double murder case. According to the police, Vikrant, resident of Govindpur, Prayagraj, and Rakhi Kashyap, resident of Arjunpuram, were in a love affair. Both were about to get married. Along with Vikrant, BJP leaders Sudhars Chauhan and Kapil Chauhan were also present in the party held at Rakhi’s house on the night of 15th April to celebrate the wedding.

When there was a dispute over some issue, Rakhi shot Vikrant in the thigh with her licensed pistol. From there he took Vikrant to Badgaon in Saharanpur, hit him on the mouth with a stone and threw the body in the canal.

Police say that after Vikrant was registered missing, when Rakhi started being interrogated, Sudharas started fearing being trapped. On the night of 25th April, Sudhars, along with his partner Kapil Chauhan, took Rakhi to the farm house in Rajapur Naugaon, Saharanpur. There, after slitting his throat with a knife, he killed him by stabbing him with a stick.

Kapil revealed this when he was caught on Thursday. After this, Baghpat and Saharanpur police started searching for Sudhars. On Friday afternoon, Baghpat police arrested Sudhakar on information that he was in Chauhan Enclave, Baraut. Saharanpur police took Sudhars with them.
