Years ago, when Punjab was burning in the fire of terrorism, a scary incident happened with Divya Dutta’s mother. Divya Dutta mentioned this incident in a recent conversation with Amar Ujala.
Whenever there was a sound, my heart would tremble.
During the conversation, Divya remembered the period in Punjab when terrorist incidents were happening there. She says, ‘Those days were very difficult. Mother had a government job and had to sign papers. Mother’s work was on the ground floor and we lived upstairs. At that time I used to check every door and window ten times. Whenever there was any sound, my heart would tremble.
One day some people came and said that madam has to sign the paper. I was hiding behind my mother’s scarf and watching, at that time I thought of coming forward. But those people did not say anything, they just left after the work was done.
