Advance registration for Shri Amarnath Yatra will start from Wednesday. Registration can be done in 556 branches of designated Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, Jammu and Kashmir Bank and Yes Bank across the country. The facility of online registration will also be available on the official website and mobile app of the board.
According to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, registration will be on first come, first serve basis and daily quota will be fixed for the journey through Baltal and Pahalgam route. Devotees in the age group of 13 to 70 years will be eligible for the yatra. Women more than six weeks pregnant will not be allowed to travel.
Registration will be done through Aadhaar-based biometric authentication and permits will be issued online. Devotees will have to submit valid health certificate issued by authorized medical institutions. The travel permit will mention the route selected (Baltal or Pahalgam) and date of travel.
