Iranian team held strategic meeting before formal talks
Meanwhile, trilateral ceasefire talks have started in Islamabad between America, Iran and Pakistan. This conversation is considered very important. According to the report, this is the highest level talks since the Islamic Revolution of 1979. Before formal talks, the Iranian team held a strategic meeting in Pakistan. Further plans were finalized in this.
US Vice President met Shehbaz Sharif
Earlier, US Vice President JD Vance met Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. At the same time, Iran’s Parliament Speaker and Foreign Minister also talked to the Pakistani leadership. Serena Hotel in Islamabad remains the center of this diplomatic activity. Delegations from both the countries reached here. Security has been tightened outside the hotel. There are continuous meetings going on inside.
The American team is led by JD Vance. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner are also present with him. Shahbaz Sharif described this conversation as very important. He called it a ‘do or die’ situation. These talks are taking place to stabilize the ceasefire declared on April 8. The future of security of the area is also being discussed.
America’s stance will decide the outcome: Iranian Vice President
However, the path to compromise is not easy. Iran’s Vice President Mohammad Reza Arif had earlier said that the outcome would depend on America’s stance. He said that if the American side remains cooperative then an agreement is possible. But if the stance is different, there will be no agreement. In such a situation, Iran will protect itself and strengthen itself. He warned that the world may have to pay a high price for this.
