Police in Etah, Uttar Pradesh is on full alert mode regarding the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on 14th April. The new SSP of the district, Dr. Ila Maran has made extensive arrangements regarding security arrangements in the district. According to the information, the security of about 187 statues of Ambedkar located in all the 18 police station areas of the district has been increased, so that the wreath laying and tribute program on the occasion of his birth anniversary can be conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner. SSP said that for the security of 187 statues of Ambedkar, one constable and one home guard have been deployed near each statue.
According to the information, on the occasion of Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, 50 programs will be organized in the entire district, which include processions, tableaux, Prabhat Pheri and other programs. In this regard, Peace Committee meetings were organized in all 18 police station areas and the outline of security arrangements was decided in collaboration with the program organisers. During this, routes for the events were determined so that all the programs could be conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.
Security increased on Ambedkar Jayanti
SSP Dr. Ila said that we are making every effort so that Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated peacefully in the entire district. Everyone should follow discipline and rules and organize only traditional programs and not organize non-traditional programs. He said that patrolling is being done by visiting all the police station areas and communication is being established with the public. He said that everyone has been instructed to deal strictly with criminals and adopt a policy of zero tolerance on corruption.
People’s faces will be verified through the app
The SSP said that Etah Police is committed to providing better service to the public. Efforts are being made to improve the functioning of police at the police station and beat level by coordinating traditional and modern policing. He said that as per the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP), the process of scanning people’s faces through Daksh app and verification is also being implemented so that the security system can be further strengthened.
