A major change has been seen in the special intensive revision of voter list in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, after SIR, nine lakh voters have been reduced from the voter list. SIR Earlier, the gender ratio in the nine assemblies of the district was 883, which has now increased to 910. That means, it is clear that for every 1000 male voters, there are 910 female voters.

According to the information, the final voter list was released by the Election Commission on Friday, April 10. In this, the total number of voters in Lucknow remained 30,80,350, out of which the number of women voters is 14,67,194. The number of males in Lucknow is 16,13,094 and the number of third gender is 107.

According to political analysts, in the last few years the government has shown seriousness regarding women’s rights. Due to various rights and social security schemes, women are now actively participating in politics.

Political analysts believe that the triple talaq law and women’s reservation in the Assembly and Lok Sabha have promoted the political inclinations of women. This is the reason why women are becoming aware of their rights. The highest female ratio is in the Eastern Assembly constituency. Here this ratio has reached 975.

Similarly, in Old City West Assembly, which has a mixed population, this ratio has increased from 880 to 923. Even in Lucknow Central, where there is a mixed population, the gender ratio has increased from 921 to 950.

However, political experts also say that in the last few years, the schemes that have been implemented for women’s rights and their social security have brought significant changes. Women are now voting as per their choice. Political experts also say that women can play the role of game changer in the upcoming elections. The impact will be visible in the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh in 2027.
