US President Donald Trump has once again warned Iran in his familiar aggressive style. After JD Vance leaves for Pakistan, he calls peace talks ‘the world’s most powerful reset’ on Truth Social.
Not only this, Trump is furious over Iran’s proposal to charge ‘transit fees’ on ships passing through Hormuz. They have made it clear through social media and media statements that if Iran tries to make any such recovery, the consequences will be extremely serious.
‘If you are alive today, it is only for conversation’
Trump said that whatever situation Iran is in today, it is because of America’s restraint. He said the only reason they are alive today is because they sat down at the table and made compromises. In fact, Iran has recently put forward a 10-point peace proposal. It also includes a condition that ships passing through Hormuz will have to pay a fee. Iran wants this payment to be made in its own currency ‘Rial’, so that it can reduce the impact of international sanctions.

The Strait of Hormuz is the world’s most important ‘oil chokepoint’. About 20% of the world’s oil passes through here. If Iran starts charging fees here, oil prices may skyrocket in the global market. Although a temporary ceasefire was announced on 8 April 2026, shipping companies are still scared.
From the edge of destruction to the table of peace
This ‘reset’ of Trump is not just a ceasefire, but it is an attempt to completely restart relations with Iran. After the ceasefire with Iran, President Trump had said that America has already achieved many of its military goals. Now work is going on rapidly towards a long-term peace agreement with Iran.
He had said that a 10-point proposal has been received from Iran, which is being seen as the basis for talks. Trump had claimed that agreement has been reached on most of the issues of old disputes between America and Iran. Now efforts will be made to finalize the agreement in these two weeks. Trump had said that if this mediation had not been successful, ‘an entire civilization would have been wiped out’, but now, due to Pakistan’s active diplomacy, both the countries are ready to sit face to face in Islamabad.
At present, US Vice President JD Vance and a high level team are about to reach Pakistan. A meeting is going to be held in Pakistan regarding peace in West Asia. The eyes of the whole world are now on whether Iran steps back after Trump’s warning or whether the tension in the Gulf once again reaches its peak. However, in the meantime JD Vance has also given a warning. He clearly said that if there is any obstruction in the oil supply in the Strait of Hormuz or if Iran makes any move, America will not hesitate to use destructive force.
