These days the ongoing discussions regarding ‘Operation Tiger’ have intensified in Maharashtra politics. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has given a big statement. He has rejected all the reports claiming that he is in secret contact with the MPs of Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT).
What is the whole matter?
In recent times, there were reports that Shinde is trying to include UBT MPs in his group and some secret meetings have also taken place in this regard. Amidst these speculations, Shinde himself has now come forward and clarified the situation.
An attempt is being made to mislead people
Shinde clearly said that he has not had any meeting with any Shiv Sena (UBT) MP. He termed these claims as completely false, misleading and malicious. According to him, such news is being spread with the aim of misleading people.
Such rumors have been flying for the last one and a half years
He also said that for the last one and a half years, such rumors have been continuously being spread that many UBT MPs are going to join his faction, but till now no truth has come to light in these. Shinde reiterated that there is no fact in these reports and they are being propagated only to create sensationalism.
Along with this, Shinde appealed to the media to avoid broadcasting unconfirmed and sensational news. He said that under responsible journalism, it is necessary to verify the facts, so that correct and accurate information can reach the public.
Although there is still a stir in the political circles regarding these discussions, but after this statement of Shinde, the situation has become clear to a great extent. At present, there is no concrete indication about Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs changing parties and it is being considered as just a rumour.
